Collector Performance

QA Should Follow the Whole Account, Not Just the Call

A perfect call followed by a missed follow-up is still a failed account. Nexum lets QA review the whole evidence chain in one place.

A great call followed by a missed follow-up is still a failed account.

Summary

Call-only QA misses documentation, follow-ups, disputes, payments and the upstream causes of bad calls.

Account-level QA reviews intake, eligibility, calls, notes, commitments, disputes, payments and outreach together.

Nexum keeps every piece of that chain on one account, with CallGrade scores in the Comm Log.

Key takeaways

Review whole accounts monthly, not just calls.

Trace findings to process causes.

The limits of call-only QA

A collector can have a textbook call and then log the wrong result, forget the follow-up, misrecord the promise, miss a dispute or post a payment wrong. And the real cause of a bad call (wrong balance, missing documents) isn't visible in the recording at all.

Account-level QA

Account-level QA reviews the full handling of a sample of accounts:

  1. Intake: was the account loaded correctly, with complete data?
  2. Eligibility: were contact rules respected on every channel?
  3. Calls: were disclosures given, information accurate and conduct appropriate?
  4. Documentation: do result codes, notes and statuses match what happened?
  5. Commitments: were promises recorded accurately and followed up?
  6. Disputes: were they logged, worked and resolved on time?
  7. Payments: were they posted correctly with references and authorizations?
  8. Outreach: did automated messages respect rules and preferences?

What it reveals

Account-level QA finds process problems as well as individual ones: imports that consistently miss a field, a result code that doesn't move status correctly, follow-ups that never get set for a certain call type. Fixing those helps every collector.

Make it practical

  • Review a small, random sample of accounts per collector or per client monthly.
  • Add targeted samples: accounts with complaints, disputes or reversed payments.
  • Use a checklist so reviewers are consistent.
  • Track findings by category and cause.

Keep call scoring, and connect it

Call scoring remains central. The difference is that each call score sits in the context of the account's full history.

Measure it

  • Account-level QA pass rate.
  • Findings by category (documentation, follow-up, payments, compliance).
  • Repeat findings after process fixes.

How Nexum makes it easy

Every Nexum account holds the full story: details, a Comm Log across every channel (with CallGrade scores on call entries), notes, documents, recordings, disputes, payments and tasks. CallGrade adds point-by-point call scoring with compliance gates and sign-off. Reviewers follow the evidence chain without switching systems.

The bottom line

Clients and regulators experience the whole account. Nexum lets you review it that way. See QA must include AI and payments.
