What Templates is
Templates is one library for every email and text message the Nexum suite sends, in your brand. Campaigns, Nudge, ConsentPay and other tools all pick their messages from here. Fix a message once, and it's fixed everywhere.
Set your brand first
Before writing messages, fill in:
- Company name and phone number.
- Logo and logo link.
- Accent / button color, header color and header text color.
- Footer: company address and contact lines.
- Legal disclosure: the notices your rules require, shown above the footer.
These apply to every email automatically, so consumers get a consistent, recognizable message and your required disclosures are never forgotten.
Writing a text message template
Click Text Messages, then + New text message. Type the name, choose the language (English or Español) and the type, and write the message in plain text, up to 1,000 characters. A counter shows the characters and how many texts the message becomes. Accents and symbols outside the standard character set make each text segment shorter (70 characters), which matters for Spanish messages and for cost.
Writing email templates
Email templates are used by Campaigns for single sends and drip sequences, and by other modules. Keep subjects clear and bodies short, and include a way to respond or pay where appropriate.
Who uses templates
- Campaigns picks an email template for each step of a series.
- Nudge uses text templates.
- ConsentPay has its own authorization request and reminder templates.
Good practices
- Review: have consumer-facing templates reviewed for accuracy and required disclosures.
- Language: write Spanish versions where you have Spanish-speaking consumers; don't rely on machine translation for legal language.
- Clarity: one purpose per message.
- Naming: name templates so their purpose is obvious (for example, "Email — first notice — portal link").
- Retire old versions instead of leaving near-duplicates around.
Why it matters
When messages live in many tools, they drift, and disclosures get missed. A single reviewed library keeps every channel consistent and compliant.
